LOOKING BACK
Sunday School is important! Maple Grove began as a Sunday School outreach of the Millwood Mennonite Church. 102 YEARS AGO, on March 25, 1906 a Sunday School was organized in the Sadsbury Friends Meeting House on Simontown Road. Vernon Kennel wrote “There was quite a lot of opposition from all sides, but by all the reverses the work seemed to gradually prosper.” John A. Kennel was the first Superintendent; Amos K. Mast, Assistant Superintendent; and John K. Mast, Secretary. The ministry continued to grow; we outgrew the Friends Meeting House which led to the construction of our own meeting house in 1909.

RUTHANN REMINDS US that items for the weekly printed church bulletin need to be in the church office by Thursday of each week. You can also send them to mgchurch@netzero.net.
