“COME AND SEE: The Power of Christ’s Love” September 20-23
After Philip had an encounter with Jesus, he found his friend Nathanael and told him about it. Nathaniel was skeptical. Philip told him to “Come and see.” (John 1:45-46). You are invited to “Come and See.”
Hear the message God has given to Dwayne Walton. Dwayne is well known to the Maple Grove family. He is a native of Guyana, grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and currently lives up the road from the church. Dwayne has an undergraduate degree from Philadelphia Biblical University, is married to Amy Brubaker and is the father of 16 month old Elijah. Most of us know Dwayne as Executive Director of the Parkesburg Point Youth Center. Dwayne will be speaking from the book of Ephesians.
There will be special music and worship. “Come and See” how the Lord will renew your life! Invite your friends and neighbors to “come and see.”

Instructions for the Christian life from the Book of Hebrews
The book of Hebrews is full of instructions to guide us in our walk with Jesus. On August 30 we will consider Hebrews 13:11-14. Once again we’ll think about sacrifices, specifically Jesus’ death. The “leftovers” from the sacrifices were disposed of outside of the city of Jerusalem, so the city would not be defiled. Jesus was crucified outside the city. We are instructed to go to him, outside the comfort of the holy city and identify with his death. We cannot identify with his resurrection if we cannot identify with his death. There will be a baptism service. Baptism is symbolic of dying and rising to new life with Christ.

Maple Grove's 100th Anniversary DVD set can be ordered. There are 2 DVD's in the set for $20.00 orders need to be prepaid.
Please order them TODAY.
Music CD's from Sunday night may be ordered also for $5.00

I need wide mouth jars and lids, something like a Tostitos cheese jar or salsa jar. I am working with Bridge of Hope and their kaleidoscope fundraiser and this is an item I need to make a craft work. We expect about 70 children to attend and so the committee is asking our church families to help out with finding enough jars. Bring your jars to church and put them in the container in the foyer. Thanks, Denyce
