February 17, 2008 – Announcements

The X-TREME WORSHIP scheduled for February 12 is rescheduled for March 4, 7:00 pm. X-treme worship will be held every first Tuesday of the month.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Mind you, there’s a difference between being recognized publicly for an achievement and pushing oneself into a place of honor. Humility comes not from deliberately dressing down or pointedly taking the back seat. Humility comes from the recognition that I gain my merit in the Kingdom by the grace of God, which elevates each of us to the exact same position. (George Epp, Adult Bible Study online, http://www.mph.org/abs/abs080217.htm)

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING February 17
At 7 pm we will meet in the church basement for a congregational meeting. The Leadership Team will give an up-date on progress with our consultation recommendations. We will discuss the creation of a Youth Ministry Commission and the need for an Associate Pastor with an emphasis on youth ministry. A copy of the Youth Ministry Commission proposal is in your church mailbox. Your presence and participation is important!

NOTE: The Church Kitchen will be closed February 21 & 22 for floor polishing.
